LASER Group presents Mobile's new water park and recreation destination plans

The proposed development will consist of six main components: attractions, an indoor multi-use center, accommodations, public amenities, restaurants, and retail spaces. The outdoor water park will operate seasonally, while the indoor facilities will provide year-round activities. The project is designed to complement the existing soccer complex and future natatorium, aiming to attract visitors from Alabama and neighboring states.

The economic impact of the project is projected to be significant, with estimates of 300 construction jobs and 50 full-time positions, along with 300 to 400 seasonal jobs once operational. The LASER Group anticipates drawing approximately 405,000 visitors annually, contributing to local tax revenues estimated between $3.75 million and $4.9 million.

The Mobile County Commission is set to enter a non-binding letter of intent with the LASER Group, allowing them to proceed with market studies and design work. This step is crucial for moving forward with the master planning process and securing the necessary approvals for the project.
