Dysart Unified hosts career fair for future K-8 teachers with unique certification program

The Dysart Unified School District is set to launch an innovative career fair aimed at attracting new K-8 teachers through its "Ready to Teach" program. Scheduled for April 24 from 3 to 6 PM at the student services facility on Desert Cove, this initiative allows anyone with a bachelor's degree—regardless of their field—to earn a teaching certificate. The program promises comprehensive training, equipping participants with essential teaching skills and knowledge.

In addition to the career fair announcement, the meeting highlighted the district's ongoing collaboration with the City of Surprise regarding the Vista Center for the Arts. Superintendent Dr. Crodo emphasized the importance of this partnership, which aims to enhance community engagement through arts programming.
