At the April 10th meeting of the Tipton County Board of Education, the spotlight shone brightly on outstanding educators and students, celebrating their remarkable contributions to the community.
This month’s Teacher of the Month award went to Allison Reese, a dedicated second-grade teacher at Matoka Elementary School. Although Ms. Reese was not present to receive her award, her commitment to fostering relationships with her students was highlighted. She is known for investing time in getting to know her students, even sharing lunch with them, and creating a trusting environment in her classroom. Her enthusiasm for best practices in teaching and her collaborative spirit have made her a valued member of the Matoka team.

A fourth grader, Lizzie is celebrated for her intelligence, kindness, and leadership qualities. She actively participates in various extracurricular activities, including the drama club and student council, and has showcased her talents in multiple school productions. Her positive attitude and willingness to help others make her a standout student.
The middle school Student of the Month award was presented to Fi Devon from Bridal Middle School. Fi excels academically while balancing her commitments as a student-athlete, participating in basketball and softball. Her dedication to her studies and community service, including volunteering for the school’s Thanksgiving food drive, exemplifies the values of Tipton County Schools.
These recognitions not only honor individual achievements but also reflect the strong sense of community and support within Tipton County Schools. Congratulations to all the honorees for their hard work and dedication!
