The Washburn University men's basketball team was honored for their remarkable season, culminating in a trip to the NCAA Division II Final Four. The team, ranked fifth nationally, concluded their season with a 34-1 record, marking a historic achievement for the Ichabods. Their victory over Lenoir Rhyne University in the Elite Eight not only secured their place in the Final Four but also marked head coach Brett Ballard's 200th career win. Several players received accolades, including senior guard Jacob Hanna, who earned NABC All-District First Team honors, and sophomore guard Jack Bachelor, who was recognized on the NABC All-District Second Team.
