Willowbrook High School Knowledge Bowl team finishes eighth at state tournament

The Regular Board Meeting on April 9, 2025, in Colorado kicked off with a strong sense of community pride as local students were recognized for their outstanding achievements. The Willowbrook High School Knowledge Bowl team, which recently finished eighth in the state tournament, was celebrated for their impressive performance against tough competition. The team tackled 520 trivia questions over two days, showcasing their knowledge and teamwork.

Board members applauded the efforts of team members Stace Zeehan Rogers, Aiden Graham, Ali Orano, Natalie Douglas, and Claire Titus, along with those who contributed but could not attend, including Julian Woodward, Stuart Geer, and Lillian Siegel. Their teacher, Jennifer Stone, was also acknowledged for her support.

In another highlight, the Woodland Park High School Envirothon team received accolades for sweeping the state competition, taking first, second, and third places. This remarkable achievement has earned them a spot at the national competition in Alberta, Canada, this summer. The board expressed pride in the students, including Fajara, Anthony Oreo, Aiden Graham, and others, along with their teacher Jennifer Rosias and assistant coach Rose Banzhaf.

These recognitions not only celebrate academic excellence but also foster a sense of encouragement and motivation among students, reinforcing the importance of education and community support. The meeting continued with administrative reports, but the spotlight remained on the achievements of these young scholars, setting a positive tone for the discussions ahead.
