Downtown Plano Arts District launches first street banner design contest for young artists

The downtown Plano Arts District convened to announce its inaugural street banner design contest, aimed at showcasing local talent and beautifying the area. The contest invites young artists, aged 5 to 18, to submit original artwork that reflects the theme of "springtime in downtown Plano."

Participants must reside within the Plano Independent School District (ISD) boundaries. Eight selected artists will have their designs featured on colorful banners displayed throughout downtown Plano and will each receive a $100 prize.

Submissions are due by Wednesday, April 16, with winners expected to be notified by Thursday, May 1. For further details, interested artists can visit plano.gov/downtownartists.
