Colleyville Mayor promotes ballot proposition and community events for April

Colleyville residents are gearing up for an important election on May 3, 2025, which includes a proposition to fund improvements at the Colleyville Recreation Center through a tax increment. Mayor Bobby Lindemood emphasized the significance of this ballot measure during the recent City Council meeting, urging citizens to watch an informative video available on the city’s website that details the financial implications of the proposal.

In addition to the election discussions, the city is hosting a free fraud prevention seminar on April 16, led by Colleyville Police Detective Jeff Prater. This event aims to educate attendees on common scams and personal security tips, welcoming all community members regardless of residency.

Early voting for the upcoming elections begins on April 22 and runs through April 29, with polling locations including the Colleyville Parks and Recreation Center. Mayor Lindemood encouraged residents to participate, stating, “We need your voice,” and highlighting the importance of community engagement in local governance.

The meeting also touched on various community events, including the Colleyville Garden Club's annual plant sale on April 26 and the Texas Junior Anglers fishing event on the same day.
