Commissioners approve daycare facility and grocer renovations at Georgian Park and City Circle

A new daycare facility is set to enhance the Peachtree City community, following unanimous approval from the Planning Commission on April 14, 2025. Commissioners expressed enthusiasm for the project, highlighting its necessity and positive impact on the area. "I think it's a needed thing in the community," one commissioner remarked, praising the building's elevations and design.

The commission swiftly moved to approve the building elevations for the daycare located at 1501 Georgian Park, with a motion and second received without any objections. The approval signals a significant step forward in providing essential services for families in the region.

In addition to the daycare, the commission also reviewed plans for a local grocer at 258 City Circle, previously known as Book a Million. The proposed renovations include adding more windows, replacing doors with additional windows, and enhancing the storefront with a continuous awning. These changes aim to modernize the appearance while maintaining the existing color scheme and design elements.

The grocer's plans are still in the early stages, with a separate signage application process to follow. The commission's discussions reflect a commitment to improving local amenities and fostering community growth in Peachtree City.
