During the Wallingford Public Schools Board of Education meeting on November 25, 2024, the Lyman Hall High School community celebrated the achievements of senior Meredith Laughlin, who received the prestigious NSDC award. Meredith is an accomplished student, ranking in the top 7% of her class while exclusively taking Advanced Placement (AP) and honors courses. She has earned the seal of biliteracy in Spanish and is excelling in AP Spanish 6, alongside other challenging subjects like AP Calculus and AP Psychology. Her dedication to academics is complemented by her interests in STEM, particularly in architectural drafting and design, where she has received an excellence award.

Beyond her academic pursuits, Meredith has demonstrated strong leadership qualities. She has served as the treasurer of the student council for two years and is currently the class council secretary. Her involvement in athletics includes being a two-year captain of the Lyman Hall swimming and diving team, where she was recognized with the Trojan Award for outstanding sportsmanship, and a four-year member of the varsity tennis team.
