Blood introduced graduate Brianna Kovich, who shared her journey through the program. Kovich highlighted the critical thinking and collaboration skills she developed, which have been essential in her role at Lake West Hospital. "Being in the career tech program truly made me resilient," she stated, reflecting on her experiences and the impact of her education on her career.
Shane Mulder, welding instructor at NCI Willoughby, also spoke about his program, which trains students in welding and fabrication. He described the challenges of mastering welding skills, emphasizing the determination and grit required to succeed in the field. "Welding is a skill that you can't just pick up a book and read," Mulder explained, underscoring the hands-on nature of the training.
