Pasco County Schools celebrates student achievements and honors educator Renee Angelella

In the heart of Pasco County, the School Board convened on April 15, 2025, under the warm glow of city hall lights, to celebrate the achievements of students and educators alike. One of the most notable moments came when Emily Lam from the Office for Career, Technical, and Adult Education announced a generous donation from Pasco Fire Rescue—a fire truck for the Fire Science Academy at 5A High School. This donation, presented by Fire Chief Ryan Gwynn and Deputy Chief Michael Mengel, will provide students with hands-on training, enhancing their learning experience and preparing them for future careers in public safety. Principal Eric Kremensen expressed gratitude for the support, noting the significant strides being made in the academy.

The meeting also honored an outstanding educator, Mrs. Renee Angelella, who has dedicated 30 years to Pasco County Schools, with 28 of those years at Ritchie Elementary. Recognized for her unwavering commitment and compassionate nature, Mrs. Angelella serves as a mentor to new staff and creates a nurturing environment for her students. Her meticulous attention to detail and dedication to excellence were celebrated by her colleagues and family, who filled the room with pride and support.
