Long Beach to host multiple community events on April 19 including Easter egg hunt

The Long Beach City Council meeting on April 15, 2025, buzzed with excitement as council members promoted a series of community events set for the upcoming weekend. The highlight was the annual Easter egg hunt, scheduled for Saturday, April 19, at Bixby Park from 10:30 to 11:30 AM. With over a thousand eggs and candy, families are encouraged to join in the festivities, which will also feature a visit from the Easter Bunny.

Councilmember Kerr invited residents to participate in a morning stroll with the Bixby Knolls strollers, starting at 7:30 AM from the District 55 Field Office at Wardlow Park. For those looking for a different experience, the Hanger at LBX will host a country western-themed pop-up market from noon to 6 PM, featuring local vendors and family-friendly activities.

In addition to these events, Councilmember Tivenas announced a spring festival at Gumbinder Park from 12 to 2 PM on the same day, encouraging community engagement through dance fitness classes and local updates via newsletters.
