League City is set to enhance its artistic and environmental appeal with exciting new projects announced during the Convention and Visitors Advisory Board meeting on April 16, 2025. A standout initiative is the installation of a striking metal sculpture at City Hall, designed to celebrate the city's natural beauty. This piece will feature a mural depicting turtles, lily pads, and koi, creating a vibrant koi pond effect underneath the sculpture. The project aims to elevate the visual experience for visitors and residents alike.
In addition to the City Hall sculpture, a new blue heron sculpture is on its way to Heritage Park, with installation expected within two weeks. This six-foot-wide, five-foot-tall piece is a nod to the park's reputation as a prime spot for birdwatching, further enriching the community's connection to nature.
