Leek City celebrates music community certification and legacy park designation

On April 16, 2025, the League City Convention and Visitors Advisory Board convened to discuss several significant developments that highlight the city's cultural and community initiatives. In addition to the music certification, the board discussed the successful application process for the Whiteland and Knight art show, which has already received around 100 applications, surpassing its goal of 50. The application period remains open until May 4, allowing artists additional time to submit their work. The show will be juried to ensure quality and appropriateness of the displayed art.

The meeting also introduced a new community engagement initiative titled "Let's Talk About It," which will occur quarterly. The first session, scheduled for May 14, will address important topics such as permitting and code compliance.
