Planning board reviews Miracle Mile development and updates on local projects

During the recent meeting of the Hooksett Economic Development Advisory Committee on April 16, 2025, members discussed several key topics related to the town's growth and development strategies. The meeting highlighted ongoing efforts to enhance economic opportunities while addressing community concerns.

One significant point of discussion was the development potential in the area known as the "Miracle Mile." Committee members noted that much of the land designated for economic growth in this region has already been developed. Additionally, the meeting addressed the conditional approval of a new cabin development along Route 3, which is expected to enhance local tourism. The project will include 13 cabins and has received necessary permits from the Department of Transportation, indicating a positive step towards increasing recreational offerings in the area.

In terms of attracting new businesses, the committee discussed the interest from Marmon's location team, which is considering Hooksett among other locations. However, it was noted that competing states are offering more attractive tax incentives and abatements, which could impact Hooksett's ability to secure new investments.
