Adams County hosts Foster Care 5K with discounts for families and students

The Adams County government meeting on April 17, 2025, highlighted the upcoming All in Adams—Adams County Foster Care 5K event, aimed at raising funds for local foster families. Communications Director Nikki Kimbleton emphasized the importance of community participation in supporting children and families in need.

Participants can register for the 5K through multiple platforms, including the Strava app and the dedicated website adcogov.org/fostercare5k. Early registration is encouraged, with a discount available until April 18. The cost is set at $27.50 for adults and $16.90 for students under 18. Families can register up to five members at a discounted rate of $48.70, while current foster families can register for just $27.50.

Kimbleton expressed gratitude for the involvement of foster families and encouraged community members to join in the effort to support these vital services. The meeting concluded with an invitation for listeners to engage with the All in Adams program and share their thoughts on future topics.
