In a vibrant celebration of academic achievement and community spirit, Hillsborough County Public Schools held its School Board Recognition Meeting on April 15, 2025. Their victory was celebrated alongside second-place Clark Elementary and third-place Adam K-8, highlighting the dedication and hard work of young learners.
Transitioning to the middle school category, the Mustangs of Moore Renan Middle School emerged victorious, with Principal Tracy Brooks and Coach Shad Van Hoover guiding their talented team. The event also recognized the achievements of Adem K-8 and a Needle Bridal School, who secured second and third places, respectively.
High school students were not to be outdone, as Gaither High School, Strawberry Crest High School, and Robinson High School showcased their academic prowess. Robinson High School, led by Principal Dave Brown and Coach Melissa Musso, claimed the top spot, further solidifying the competitive spirit that thrives within the district.
Beyond the accolades for academic competitions, the meeting also honored the invaluable contributions of volunteers within the community. Monica Narayan, coordinator of the Mentoring Collaborative, expressed heartfelt gratitude to those who dedicate their time and energy to support students and teachers. The recognition of outstanding volunteers included Ethan Morgan from Plant High School, Jill Rental from Newsome High School, and Carol Shepherd from Tampa Bay Technical High School, each of whom exemplified the spirit of service and commitment to education.
