Bullhead City is set to enhance its recreational offerings and solid waste management services, as discussed in the recent Parks and Recreation Commission meeting held on April 16, 2025. The city continues to position itself as a premier destination for sports tourism and outdoor activities, while also addressing essential community services.
One of the key highlights from the meeting was the ongoing success of Rotary Park, which serves as a hub for various sports events, including two annual AYSO soccer tournaments, three pickleball tournaments, and numerous 5K races. The park, located at 2315 Balboa Drive, boasts 55 acres of well-maintained fields and facilities, making it a vital asset for both residents and visitors. The addition of pickleball courts has further solidified its status as a sports tourism center, attracting participants and spectators alike.

The city has contracted with Republic Services for the collection, transportation, and disposal of solid waste. Notably, residential recycling has been discontinued, and residents are now encouraged to utilize blue and green carts for trash collection. Trash pickup is scheduled from Monday to Thursday, with specific service areas designated for each day. Residents are allowed six bulky item pickups per year, which can be scheduled through the city’s website or by contacting Republic Services directly.
The meeting underscored Bullhead City's commitment to providing quality recreational opportunities while ensuring efficient waste management. As the city continues to grow, these developments are expected to enhance the quality of life for its approximately 40,000 residents and attract even more visitors to its scenic landscapes and vibrant community events.
