University Park elects new community directors at SIUE Board meeting

The Southern Illinois University Board of Trustees convened on April 17, 2025, to address key administrative matters, including the approval of previous meeting minutes and the election of community directors for the University Park board.

The meeting began with the approval of minutes from the July 21, 2022, meeting, which received unanimous consent from all members present. Following this, the board moved to discuss the election of community directors to the board of directors for University Park at SIUE. After a brief discussion, the motion to approve the election was also passed unanimously.

The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn, which was carried out through a roll call vote, confirming the board's decision to end the session. The next scheduled meeting is set for July 10, 2025, at the Solano University School of Medicine.

Additionally, a news conference was announced to follow the meeting, although board members were required to remain for the election of university officers. This meeting marks a continuation of the board's efforts to maintain governance and oversight within the university system.
