She promotes a culture of positivity, encouraging the dancers to uplift and support one another. These values are intended to extend beyond the classroom, teaching children kindness and sensitivity that they can carry into their future interactions.
As a STEAM school, Orchard STEM integrates various disciplines into its programs. Kelly highlighted how the ribbon dancers engage with technology and design through hands-on projects. Students have the opportunity to create their own t-shirts using Cricut and Silhouette machines, as well as design personalized mugs, enhancing their learning experience by blending creativity with technical skills.
The excitement surrounding the ribbon dancing program is palpable, as students like Mila and Paige express their eagerness to join. Their participation not only fosters artistic expression but also builds a supportive community within the school. As the program continues to grow, it stands as a testament to the power of creativity and collaboration in education, enriching the lives of young learners at Orchard STEM School.
