The Ozark R-VI School District celebrated student achievements during its recent Board of Education meeting, highlighting the importance of responsibility and reliability among its students.
Among those recognized was Jordan Gersten Schlager, a graduate student praised by her teacher, Miss Myers, for her active engagement in lessons and her ability to lead quietly in the classroom. "She raises her hand and asks questions when she needs to," Myers noted, emphasizing Jordan's readiness and responsibility in her studies.
Fourth grader Willow Myers, from West Elementary, was also honored for her dependability and organizational skills. Her teacher, Mrs. Fox, commended Willow for taking care of her belongings and those of her classmates, showcasing her commitment to responsibility.
The middle school segment featured Isabel Wilkerson, a sixth grader recognized for her strong work ethic and dedication to academic excellence. Her teacher, Miss Winterard, highlighted Isabel's positive attitude and her role as an inspiring peer, making her a valued member of the classroom community.
Jules Parker, another student recognized for her reliability, demonstrated her commitment by assuring her teacher she would attend the family night event despite feeling unwell earlier that day.
Lastly, Brooklyn O'Neil, a senior at Oak Park High School, was acknowledged for her leadership within the Arts and Communication Academy. Her contributions to various school activities, including social media and event organization, exemplified her responsibility and reliability.
