Ritenour School Board approves naming new center after community input

The Ritenour School District Board of Education made a significant decision during their meeting on January 9, 2025, by officially naming a new building the Ritenour Center for Educational Excellence. This facility, located at 10901 Saint Henry Lane, will serve as the new home for the International Welcome Center, the Center for Gifted Education, and early childhood classrooms.

Superintendent Dr. Kilbride emphasized the importance of this naming process, which aligns with the district's equity statement aimed at fostering positive relationships with students and families. The decision to name the building follows a collaborative approach, involving a committee of community members, students, and staff who met multiple times to discuss and recommend names.
