Security and Sanitation Issues Lead to Closure of Hotel Syracuse Garage in Syracuse Budget Hearing

Officials noted that while the structure itself was sound, the management of these conditions fell short. "We manage it in our garages, but the conditions to improve were not met, and so we closed the garage," they stated.

Looking ahead, there are discussions about a potential new ownership structure for the garage, which could pave the way for its reopening. The city remains committed to ensuring that parking facilities are safe and appealing for users, with plans for a new Request for Proposal (RFP) that will incorporate updated security measures and operational improvements.
