The Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City Independent School District (SCUC ISD) Regular Board Meeting on April 17, 2025, featured a notable introduction of student representative Isabella Porto, a senior at Still High School. Isabella, who has been part of the SCUC district since kindergarten, is a distinguished member of the Air Force Junior ROTC, currently holding the rank of Cadet Second Lieutenant and serving as one of 18 flight commanders.
During her time at Still High School, Isabella has actively participated in various extracurricular activities, including the color guard and armed drill teams. Her achievements include receiving national awards such as the Sons of the Revolution and the American Legion Scholastic Excellence Award. Recently, she completed the U.S. Air Force Junior ROTC Flight Academy program, earning her private pilot's license.

Subscribe for Free Isabella has also excelled in the Visual Arts Scholastic Event, becoming a two-time state finalist for her art sculptures and colored pencil artwork, which earned her a congressional nomination for academic excellence. Academically, she ranks twelfth in her class with an impressive GPA of 103.97.
Looking ahead, Isabella has received offers from several universities, including the University of Texas, Oklahoma State University, and the University of Oklahoma. She plans to attend Southeastern Oklahoma University, with aspirations to become a pilot in the U.S. Air Force and eventually a commercial pilot.
Isabella was accompanied at the meeting by her parents, Bryant and Jennifer Porto, as well as her Air Force Junior ROTC sponsors, Lieutenant Colonel Mosley and Sergeant Lewis. Her accomplishments highlight the dedication and talent present within the SCUC ISD student body.
