Lincoln Park Historical Foundation plans 134th anniversary celebration in Rockville

The Rockville Historic District Commission convened on April 17, 2025, to discuss key community events and public engagement initiatives. The meeting, led by Chair Anita Neal Powell, featured a hybrid format allowing both in-person and virtual participation.

A highlight of the meeting was the announcement from the Lincoln Park Historical Foundation, which is set to host its annual Lincoln Park 130th anniversary celebration on June 21. The event will kick off with a historical parade at 9:30 AM, followed by festivities at Mount Calvary Baptist Church until 6:00 PM. This celebration aims to honor the rich history of the Lincoln Park community and is expected to draw significant local participation.

During the open forum, community members were invited to share their thoughts on non-agenda items. Architect Craig Maloney, along with project manager Mike Lowe and structural engineer Derek Zies, participated in the discussion, indicating a collaborative spirit among local professionals and stakeholders.
