Bradford County Library reports 42K visitors and new programs for community engagement

The meeting kicked off with an announcement that the county accepted ten new rehabilitation applications aimed at providing essential home repairs for income-qualified residents. This program, noted as the county's most popular initiative, has already seen five projects completed, transforming living conditions for families in need. "It's a very strenuous process," officials explained, detailing the rigorous steps from application to inspection. The county also reported two completed purchase assistance applications, which help residents with down payments and closing costs for homes.

Library staff highlighted the success of community programs, including a winter carnival that attracted over 450 attendees and various educational initiatives for children and teens. New programs, such as cozy gaming nights and homeschool sessions, have also gained traction, demonstrating the library's commitment to providing free, accessible resources for all residents.
