Blair County plans epic celebration for America's 250th birthday on July 4, 2026

Additionally, a Liberty Tree dedication is scheduled for April 26 at Fort Roberdeau. This ceremony will plant a new tree, symbolizing freedom and unity, and is inspired by the original Liberty Tree in Boston, which served as a gathering place for colonial patriots.

The commissioners also announced that Flag Day Weekend will serve as the official kickoff for the 250th celebration. On June 13, the unveiling of Blair County's Liberty Bell will occur at Delgrosso's Park, with details on the exact time and location to be announced. The bell, sponsored by the Delgrosso family, is being crafted by local artist Leah McNall.
