Laura returns to Romeoville as new executive director for Illinois River Valley chapter

The Village of Romeoville welcomed its new Executive Director for the Illinois River Valley chapter of the Red Cross, Laura, during the Village Board meeting on March 5, 2025. Laura, a proud graduate of Romeoville High School, expressed her excitement about returning to her hometown and her commitment to serving the community. In addition to Laura's introduction, the meeting included a public hearing on the preliminary environmental impacts of a new Lake Michigan water receiving and pumping station. The board unanimously approved the motion to open the hearing, which is a crucial step in applying for low-interest loans from the state for the project.
