Cedar Hill ISD is making significant strides in its bond projects, with construction and design efforts well underway for multiple facilities. During a recent meeting on February 3, 2025, district officials provided updates on several key initiatives, including the High Point Elementary Fine Arts Academy and Waterford Oaks renovations.
The district is currently in the schematic design phase for the High Point project, which aims to enhance the school's facilities with a black box theater, music and art rooms, and updated technology. The project is expected to take approximately nine months, with a completion date set for July 2026 and a budget of $14.6 million. This investment reflects the district's commitment to improving educational resources and fostering a creative learning environment.

Safety and security upgrades are a priority, with plans for new cameras, access controls, and secure vestibules to enhance student safety across campuses.
On the technology front, Cedar Hill ISD is upgrading its core server infrastructure and expanding internet bandwidth from 5 gig to 15 gig, significantly improving connectivity for students and staff. The district has secured nearly $600,000 in federal funding to support these upgrades, which will include a district-wide wireless refresh and new network switches.
