The Middletown Area School District's Key Club has been actively engaged in community service, showcasing their commitment to local initiatives through a series of recent events. On March 27, the club hosted its annual Senior Citizens Day, which featured a variety of activities including a preview of the musical "Mary Poppins," a culture day event, lunch provided by the school's cafeteria, and bingo games. This event not only entertained the seniors but also fostered intergenerational connections within the community.
The following day, Key Club members participated in the annual Youth Day Caring event at City Island. This full-day volunteer effort involved students from several schools working together to prepare the island for the upcoming spring and summer seasons. Key Club members contributed by gardening and painting colorful trash cans, which will be placed around the island to enhance its appeal.
