Marshalltown High School receives National Hispanic Institute School of the Year award

The Marshalltown Community School District (CSD) held a meeting on January 13, 2025, focusing on various agenda items, including special recognitions and updates on educational programs. The agenda was amended to include three key items: a special recognition from Iowa STEM, an agreement with Morristown Community College for student placements, and the bittersweet announcement of the retirement of Ronnie Menas, who has served the district for over 21 years. Menas, who has held various roles including teacher librarian and principal of Anson Elementary, will retire at the end of the 2024-2025 school year.

This funding will enable 59 local seventh and eighth graders to receive Harvard T-shirts for their participation in the Harvard Bridal Congress Young Global Leaders program.

The club currently has 19 active members, with aspirations to grow its membership and continue its inclusive approach, welcoming students from diverse backgrounds.
