Lieutenant Diana Wells promoted to Mental Health Outreach Unit supervisor

Lieutenant Diana Wells was celebrated for her promotion during the Town of Yarmouth Select Board meeting on April 1, 2025. With a career spanning over a decade, Wells has made significant contributions to the Yarmouth Police Department since joining in November 2010.

Her journey began as a part-time officer in Nantucket before transitioning to Yarmouth, where she served as a patrol officer for nearly nine years. In 2019, she was promoted to sergeant, taking on various responsibilities, including leading the Mental Health Outreach Unit. This initiative has been crucial in addressing community mental health needs, showcasing her commitment to public service.

Wells holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from the University of Maryland and a master's degree from Suffolk University. Her involvement in community programs like "Shop with a Cop" and "Secret Santa for Seniors" highlights her dedication beyond law enforcement duties.
