Middletown City Council approves contracts for water transmission main and park improvements

In a move to enhance community recreation, the council authorized a contract with Pensura LLC for a new splash pad at Douglas Park, set to replace an outdated facility. This $537,001 project aims to provide a modern play area for families, with completion expected by August. The new splash pad will feature improved infrastructure to withstand the region's weather conditions.

Lastly, the council approved a contract for the replacement of the Middletown Regional Airport's hangar roof, utilizing FAA grant funds. This $225,000 project is crucial for maintaining the airport's operational integrity and is expected to commence within the next few months.

As the meeting concluded, the council also discussed various legislative items, including adjustments to appropriations and the annexation of land to support future development.
