Several Stonegate Circle residents spoke during public comment with questions about noise from the reconditioning operations, the retention/detention pond and stormwater handling, landscaping and the project timeline. Hoffmeyer and staff said the recon work will be light- to medium-duty preparation (pre-delivery inspection and cleaning) and not a body shop; heavy repairs would occur in the service shops. Staff and the applicant described a bio-retention pretreatment system and underground piping that will route stormwater to the retention pond and the site-specific stormwater plan will follow state and city stormwater requirements and federal wetlands permitting where applicable.

Board members and residents also discussed transport vehicle (carrier) drop-off patterns. Hoffmeyer said the plan adds a transport turnaround and shifts one entrance to reduce off-site impacts from transporters. He also said landscaping and additional plantings along the eastern edge will be installed after major site construction and when planting conditions allow, likely in spring 2026 if the construction schedule permits.
