Temecula prepares for final ramp closures before French Valley Parkway phase 2 opening

Residents have eagerly awaited the completion of this extensive construction, and now, just before the grand opening, a crucial step remains: a 55-hour closure of the Winchester Road freeway ramps.

City spokesperson Ovelyn shared the details, revealing that both northbound on-ramps will close simultaneously starting Friday night at 10 PM. This closure will last through the weekend, with plans to reopen by 6 AM on Monday. “This is a necessary step to ensure the safety and efficiency of the new traffic flow,” Ovelyn explained.

The closure is part of a larger effort to enhance the Winchester Interchange. Once the ramps reopen, traffic will no longer merge directly onto Interstate 15.
