Tyler ISD honors twin brothers Titan and Canon Hartsock as April students of the month

The Tyler Independent School District (ISD) celebrated exceptional student achievements during its April School Board meeting, highlighting the unique accomplishments of twin brothers Titan and Canon Hartstock, as well as Canaan and Christian Sewing.

Titan and Canon, fifth graders at Jack Elementary, were recognized as the Elementary Students of the Month. Their dedication to leadership and community involvement was evident as they shared how they support each other academically and take on responsibilities like managing the school flags and participating in morning announcements. "I want them to remember me as a good person at the school," said Titan, reflecting their commitment to leaving a positive legacy.

On the secondary level, seniors Canaan and Christian Sewing were honored as the Secondary Students of the Month. The brothers, who have made significant contributions both on the football field and in the classroom, expressed excitement about their future as they prepare to attend Tyler Junior College on football scholarships. "Teamwork makes all the difference," noted Canaan, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in their success.

The meeting also recognized participants in the Tyler ISD Special Olympics, showcasing the district's commitment to inclusivity and student engagement. The event was sponsored by CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System, underscoring community support for educational achievements.
