Middleton City Council reviews zoning updates and unveils new bookmobile and drone technology

The City of Middleton Common Council meeting held on April 15, 2025, covered a range of community updates and initiatives, reflecting the city's ongoing commitment to enhancing local services and engagement.

In a significant technological advancement, Chief Thompson and his officers showcased the city's first aerial drone for law enforcement, equipped with an infrared sensor. This addition is expected to enhance the capabilities of the police department, complementing existing resources like the canine program.

The Parks and Recreation Department announced a community engagement initiative, inviting residents to help name a new eaglet at Pheasant Branch and a frog mascot for the new Walter Baumann Aquatic Center. Additionally, the department is preparing for the May 17 art walk, which has reached full capacity with 65 artist booths, and the Middleton Bridal event on June 14.
