Edmond Planning Commission approves site plans for First Fidelity Bank and Panda Express

Edmond's Planning Commission made significant strides in urban development during their meeting on April 22, 2025, approving two key site plans that promise to enhance local amenities.

The commission unanimously approved a site plan for First Fidelity Bank, which will be located at 1109 North Kelly. The proposed 5,000 square-foot building will feature a covered drive-thru, standing 33 feet tall with a pitched roof and a combination of brick and stone facade. This development is situated on a 1.6-acre lot within the Edmond Town Center zoning area. The approval allows the project to advance to the city council meeting scheduled for May 12, 2025.

In addition, the commission also greenlit a site plan for a new Panda Express restaurant on Covell Road, slightly west of Sooner. This establishment will occupy a 1.2-acre site and will include a 2,800 square-foot building with a drive-thru. The design features brick and composite cladding with metal accents, and the building will rise to 23 feet. Both projects received strong support from city staff and were passed with a 4-0 vote.

These developments reflect Edmond's ongoing commitment to expanding its commercial landscape, providing residents with more dining and banking options. The Planning Commission's decisions are expected to contribute positively to the local economy and enhance community convenience.
