PVEA prom boutique supports students with dresses and accessories this prom season

During the recent Governing Board Regular Meeting held on April 17, 2025, in Arizona, community engagement and support for local students took center stage. Ms. Wani highlighted the success of the PVEA Prom Boutique, a community initiative that provides formal wear to students at no cost. With prom season in full swing, the boutique has opened its doors to all students, allowing them to find dresses, suits, and accessories for their special night.

Ms. Wani shared her personal experience volunteering at the boutique, emphasizing the joy of seeing students try on outfits and prepare for prom. She encouraged families to take advantage of the boutique's offerings, noting that it will be open for one more day on Saturday, April 26, from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM at Sweetwater Community School. This initiative not only helps students save money but also fosters a sense of community by allowing those who have formal wear to donate items for future use.

The meeting also included expressions of gratitude towards board secretary Deanne for her support during the meeting, as well as warm wishes for those celebrating Holy Week and Passover.
