Belmont Council promotes community engagement with Your Voice Your Belmont survey

Belmont City Council members highlighted community engagement and local events during their recent meeting on April 22, 2025. A key focus was the success of the recent Easter egg hunts, which drew thousands of participants and showcased the city's commitment to family-friendly activities.

Vice Mayor praised city staff, police, and fire departments for organizing the egg hunts, which included an adaptive event for children with special needs. "It was a great time," he noted, emphasizing the joy brought to the community. The adaptive hunt saw 30 youth gather 2,000 eggs in just three minutes, while the following day, 2,000 children searched for 18,000 eggs hidden throughout the park.

In addition to celebrating these events, the council urged residents to participate in the "Your Voice Your Belmont" campaign. This initiative invites community members to share their opinions on city priorities through a brief online survey. Council members expressed hope that every resident would take five minutes to contribute their thoughts.

Lastly, the council announced the installation of four new automated external defibrillators (AEDs) at key locations across Belmont, enhancing public safety and health resources. These developments reflect the city’s ongoing efforts to foster community involvement and ensure the well-being of its residents.
