San Diego Board declares April Financial Literacy Month and commends local education center

Financial Literacy Month was officially declared in San Diego County during the April 22, 2025, Board of Supervisors meeting, highlighting the importance of financial education for residents. The San Diego Center for Economic Education received commendation for over 20 years of service, providing no-cost programming aimed at equipping families and students with essential financial skills. Brett Litoff, a board member of the center, expressed gratitude for the support from the supervisors and detailed the center's outreach efforts, which include programs for foster youth, incarcerated individuals, and educational workshops for teachers.
