Silver Creek High School students excel at Business Professionals of America competitions

The SCSC Board Meeting held on April 22, 2025, featured a commendable presentation by students from the Academy of Finance at Silver Creek High School. Representatives Ariana Bernard and Stephanie Agama recognized their peers for outstanding achievements at the Business Professionals of America (BPA) Regional and State Leadership Conferences.

The meeting began with the students highlighting their participation in six categories at the Regional Leadership Conference. They congratulated several individuals for their placements, including Gage Duckwall, Ryan Graham, Noah Kane, and Caroline Barrenclough in accounting skills, as well as others in payroll accounting and business law and ethics. Notably, Ariana Bernard secured first place in interview skills and acknowledged her own achievements alongside her peers.

The students also shared that seven of their members advanced to the State Leadership Conference, where they continued to excel. Four students—Noah Kane, Lisa Weeks, Ximena Pena, and Caroline Barrenclough—qualified for the national competition in Orlando, Florida, scheduled for May. This marks a significant milestone as it is the first time Silver Creek High School will send students to the national level.

Stephanie Agama expressed pride in representing their school and state at the upcoming competition, emphasizing the opportunity it presents for both the students and Silver Creek High School. The board members praised the students for their hard work and preparation, particularly commending their instructor, Miss Glaser.

The meeting concluded with the board presenting certificates to the students and capturing a group photo to commemorate their achievements. The recognition of these students not only highlights their individual accomplishments but also reflects the commitment of Silver Creek High School to fostering excellence in business education.
