Moscow Police Department honors Officers Rosendahl and Sneavy for community service and DUI enforcement

Officer Rosendahl was honored as Officer of the Year at the Moscow City Council meeting on April 21, 2025, for his outstanding service and dedication to the community. His commitment to responding to the highest number of calls in the department while tackling complex cases earned him this prestigious recognition.

Detective Fox also received accolades as the Services Person of the Year for his pivotal role in significant investigations, including a child exploitation case that led to a federal indictment and the successful recovery of a kidnapped juvenile in Mexico. His collaborative efforts with federal partners showcased the importance of teamwork in law enforcement.

Corporal Noones was awarded the Ironman Award for top physical fitness, while Officer Sneavy was recognized for his diligence in combating impaired driving, having investigated 25 DUI cases in the past year.

The meeting also highlighted community engagement initiatives, including the 18th annual New Bill Safety Fair, where 300 bike helmets were distributed, and the upcoming National Night Out event, which promises to be another successful gathering. The "Shop with a Cop" program, now in its ninth year, continued to thrive thanks to local partnerships, ensuring that children in Moscow could enjoy a festive shopping experience.

The Moscow Police Department's Citizens Police Academy saw 32 participants last year, emphasizing the department's commitment to community collaboration and transparency. Additionally, the cadet program has expanded significantly, reflecting a growing interest in law enforcement careers among local youth.
