The Paulding County School District Board of Education meeting on April 22, 2025, celebrated the achievements of educators and students while addressing key community events. The highlight of the evening was the recognition of the 2025 class of teachers and employees of the year, honored with a special ceremony at Greystone Power. A total of 35 teachers from 34 schools and the New Hope Education Center were celebrated, alongside seven outstanding employees from various support roles. Dr. Rosalyn Zimbala, a teacher at Dobbins Middle School, was crowned the district's teacher of the year and will now compete for the title of Georgia Teacher of the Year.
The meeting also acknowledged the business services division for receiving its sixth consecutive meritorious budget award and completing 18 years of independent financial audits with no findings, a remarkable achievement in school finance.

Looking ahead, the board reminded attendees that graduation ceremonies for Hiram and Norpahling High Schools are scheduled for May 21, followed by East Paulding, Paulding County, and South Paulding High Schools on May 22. The anticipation for these celebrations marks an important milestone for students and families in the district.
