In a recent meeting of the Nordonia Board of Education, significant developments were reported regarding workforce training and educational opportunities for local students. Mr. Barost, representing the Cuyahoga Valley Career Center (CVCC), highlighted the successful implementation of AI and HR training for staff, made possible through the Ohio Tech Grant. This initiative aims to enhance the skills of educators and ensure they remain competitive in an evolving job market.
Mr. Barost emphasized the importance of strong partnerships between businesses, schools, and the community in creating career opportunities for students. He expressed gratitude to Diane Duria, the business liaison, for her role in organizing this training, as well as to the instructors at CVCC for their expertise.

Additionally, CVCC welcomed eighth-grade students for tours of its programs, providing them with a firsthand look at various career pathways available in high school. This initiative aims to inspire students to explore their interests and gain practical experience.
Construction is underway on a new 14,000 square foot addition to the career center, which will expand the construction trades program, further enhancing educational offerings for students.
