Lindsay Panish, one of the culinary instructors, reported that 14 students advanced to the state level after competing against larger schools in the Houston area. Notably, junior Brady Fiehl placed 13th in the state culinary arts competition, impressing judges with his high-level skills and a menu that included maple butter glazed chicken and an Oreo ganache tart. Additionally, students participated in a cupcake presentation event, with standout performances from freshman Paisley Lavati and junior Ileana Martinez, the latter winning first place and earning scholarship opportunities at the Escoffier School of Culinary Arts.

The meeting also celebrated the achievements of the girls' soccer team, which reached the state semifinals this season. Coach O'Ronahoo reflected on the team's remarkable turnaround, noting their growth from scoring only a few goals in previous years to becoming a formidable contender. The team finished the season with an impressive record of 24 wins, 4 losses, and 1 tie, demonstrating their dedication and teamwork. The coach emphasized the importance of community support and the positive environment fostered among the players, which contributed to their success.
