Wiley Post Airport approves runway and construction changes in latest meeting

The Oklahoma City Airport Trust convened on April 24, 2025, to address several key agenda items concerning airport operations and infrastructure improvements. The meeting began with a motion to approve various change orders related to ongoing construction projects.

The first item discussed was a change order with Duet Construction for the widening of Runway 17 Right 35 Left. Following this, a second change order with Rudy Construction for the Atlantic Aviation ramp replacement was presented. Both items were approved after a brief discussion and a motion was made and seconded.

Next, the Trust reviewed several lease agreements. These included agreements with Richard and Betty Fleury, Mark Howard (two separate agreements), and Gary Lake. Additionally, the Trust advertised for bids for the development of a future hangar taxi lane. All lease agreements and the bid advertisement were approved unanimously.

The meeting then moved to general business, where the Trust ratified and approved addenda 1 and 2 for the on-call airport management consultant agreement with DKMG Consulting. Furthermore, a construction contract was awarded to Diversified Construction Services for miscellaneous repairs and maintenance. Both items were approved after a motion and second were entertained.

Lastly, the Trust addressed several easements, including those for Southwest 100 and Fourth Street, 2401 South Portland Avenue, Southwest 29th Street, 7236 Northwest Expressway, and 7716 Northwest Expressway. All easements were approved following a motion and second.
