Carlisle welcomes Rachel Boyle as new athletic director starting June 1

During the Carlisle Area School District's General Board Meeting on April 25, 2025, a significant announcement was made regarding the appointment of a new athletic director. Mrs. Rachel Boyle was welcomed to the Thundering Herd, marking a new chapter for the district's athletic programs.

Mrs. Boyle comes to Carlisle with a wealth of experience, having served nearly four years as the athletic director at South Middleton. Her background includes over a decade at Washington College, where she held various roles, including coordinator of athletic services and head field hockey coach. Additionally, she has experience in child advocacy, having worked as a coordinator with the Kent County Department of Social Services. Her expertise extends to training in critical areas such as hazing prevention, safe hosting, and victim advocacy, which highlights her commitment to student wellness and safety.

With a bachelor's degree in sport industry and coaching from Ohio University and a master's degree in psychology from Washington College, Mrs. Boyle is well-equipped to lead the athletic department. She is set to begin her role in Carlisle around June 1, 2025.
