Lower Moreland School District honors Students of the Month Anne Tran and Spencer Hughes

In a heartwarming ceremony at the Lower Moreland Township School District Board Meeting, the spotlight shone brightly on the remarkable achievements of students and staff alike. As the evening unfolded, the audience was treated to a celebration of excellence, character, and community spirit.

The meeting began with the recognition of the high school Students of the Month. Tenth grader Anne Tran took center stage, praised for her dedication and positive attitude. Her teacher highlighted Anne's passion for learning and her ability to inspire those around her. "Anne makes our school community a kinder place," the teacher noted, emphasizing her involvement in various activities, including orchestra and the Interact Club. Anne received a certificate acknowledging her achievements, along with a congratulatory letter from Representative Ghent.

Though twelfth grader Dennis Tarasiewicz and tenth grader Marco Tarra were unable to attend, their accomplishments were celebrated through heartfelt words from their teachers. Dennis was commended for fostering inclusivity and creating a positive classroom environment, while Marco's impressive work ethic and perseverance in his studies were highlighted, particularly in his roller coaster project.

The recognition continued with the elementary schools, where Spencer Hughes and Macy Levin were honored as Students of the Month. Spencer was celebrated for his positive attitude and support for classmates, while Macy's commitment to her studies and creativity shone through in her projects. Their teachers expressed pride in their contributions to the school community.

The evening also featured the Pride of the Lions recognition, awarded to Keisha Alliston for her outstanding dedication to the Pine Road community. Keisha's commitment to supporting special education students and transforming the after-school program, KinderLinks, was acknowledged. Her efforts have created a nurturing environment where students thrive, earning her the admiration of parents and colleagues alike.
