Nixa Police Department reports 578 calls for service and celebrates Animal Control Week

The Nixa Police Department's weekly wrap-up for April 7-13, 2025, was presented by Officer Housman during a recent meeting. The report highlighted a total of 578 calls for service received by the department over the week, which included 80 traffic stops.

In addition to traffic enforcement, the department reported three K-9 deployments, nine car accidents, and 56 incident reports. There were also nine arrests made during this period. Officer Housman noted that the week coincided with Emergency Telecommunications Week and National Animal Control Officer Week, acknowledging the hard work of those in these vital roles.
